Some of the community partners supporting Laurie...

"I have always known Laurie to be a strong and sensible advocate.  Her desire to serve with honesty and integrity is refreshing.  She has a sound knowledge base when it comes to local municipal issues that affect our entire region.  Laurie believes in building relationships in order to get the work done.  I personally believe regional relationships will be improved with her addition to City Council."

"Laurie knows and respects the people that have built Windsor and she will work to serve them genuinely.  What I like and admire most about Laurie is that she isn't a back bencher.  She will fight for what is right and be a great addition to Windsor City Council.  I look forward to working with her in the future."

-Sherry Bondy, Town of Essex Ward 4 Councillor

"I've had the opportunity to work with Laurie Komon for the past several years where she has been a dedicated, committed, and well-spoken advocate for the Windsor Essex Health Coalition.  Laurie can be counted on to always follow through with her commitments, and its apparent she has a deep-rooted sense of social justice and fairness that makes her stand out in this community."

   - Katha Fortier, recent Chair Windsor Essex Health Coalition

"I met Laurie Komon in 1980 through the Windsor Feminist Theatre.  Our focus was theatre on women's issues and raising awareness.  We conducted community workshops with House of Sophrosyne, Hiatus House, St. Mary's Learning Centre, Clean Air Alliance and WOHIS, Windsor Occupational Health Information Service.  Popular Theater methods were used for conflict resolution and relaxation techniques.  Laurie became a strong advocate for social justice and I am proud to endorse her for Windsor City Council.  She is such an effective communicator!"
